F.U.S.I.O.N. Faithfully Uniting Souls In Our Neigborhood
Current The ministry reaches into two apartment sites touching the lives of hundreds of kids. The staff meets monthly to plan and pray for the outreach sites. The Northwest Terrace team heads to the apartments at 4:30pm on Friday afternoons and the Easton Terrace team goes out on Thursdays at 4:30 p.m. The programs kick off with games and registration, from there a Sunday School format is followed with group games, memory verses, skits, Bible lessons, songs, and prayer. At the close of the program the children receive a treat and are released. During these 2 hours it is our prayer that the word of God would go forth through our speech, through our actions, and through our love.
Annual Events As we look in the Bible we find that many people came to see Jesus because they had a physical need. Most people will recognize that they have a physical need before they recognize that they have a spiritual one. F.U.S.I.O.N. offers several annual events that are meant to be a blessing for the families, meet practical needs, have fun, but most importantly show God’s love and point them to Jesus.
Some of the annual events include:
Summer Camp – a time away from the city in a loving Christian environment. Click here to view pictures
Back to School Carnival – Each August we kick off the new school year with fun, games, and much needed school supplies.
Christmas Program – Everyone is invited to a celebration service where they hear the story of he birth of Christ. Every child that comes receives a gift.
A Vision for the Future We believe that God wants to multiply this ministry in order to reach more children and families in need. This can only be accomplished by more individuals joining the F.U.S.I.O.N. Team and helping us bring in the lost one by one.
Discipleship must occur after a person finds salvation in Christ. Below are a few opportunities for us to not only “Go” but to “Go and make disciples”
One-on-one mentoring/ discipleship programs. This is designed for children, teenagers, and adults. It would require at least 1 hour a week that would be devoted in teaching and training a new believer.
Drivers – Persons are needed to help transport students and adults to/from the apartments on Sunday mornings, Wednesday evenings and Thursday nights (Xtreme youth), JBQ…
Special Event Volunteers – We need individuals who are willing to help and invest a few hours of their time with some of the annual events listed.
